War Cemetery Ysselsteyn is located only a few kilometers to the southwest of Venray. 31.598 casualties of war are buried at the cemetery. All German soldiers who died in The Netherlands during World War II are buried at this cemetery. Unteroffizier Johann Siegel was the first soldier buried at the cemetery on 15 october 1946. There were also some Italian soldiers buried at Ysselsteyn, but they were later reburied in Italy. |
