Dennis Frederick Pidduck was a son of William John and Sarah Pidduck. He was married to Sylvia Joyce Pidduck, of Wigginton, Hertfordshire. He served with E Squadron. 
According to the Roll of Honour published by the Society of Friends of the Airborne Museum (Jan Hey 2011) Pidduck is likely to have drowned in the river Rhine during the withdrawal on the night of 25/26 september 1944.
In may 2015 the Dutch online newspaper Grebbekrant wrote an article about the annual Dutch commemoration of all that were killed in armed conflicts, on 5 may. They wrote Pidduck tried to swim across the Rhine when he was shot in the back by a German sniper.
